Compassionate Care from the heart

I believe that effective healing is built on a strong connection between us, which is why I am always ensuring you feel safe, supported, and never judged as we explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. When a client chooses to work with me, I feel deep gratitude and a genuine desire to support you in the best way possible. Our sessions are all about you. I am here to listen, guide, and facilitate your journey towards growth. While I bring my expertise and experience to our therapeutic relationship, I also deeply value collaborating and helping you find answers from within.

My style is warm, engaging, intuitive, and emotion-focused. I offer a de-stigmatizing perspective to mental health concerns, holding in mind that your current concerns began as adaptive coping skills that have helped you survive. I focus on helping my clients shift from feeling frustrated with undesired thoughts and behaviors, towards a compassionate and understanding stance that I have found to be essential in transforming patterned thoughts and behaviors.

After several years of utilizing traditional talk therapy, I recognized that many of my clients continued to struggle with deeply-rooted issues that were keeping them from moving forward in life and relationships. I began investing time in researching and gaining knowledge in innovative trauma-informed treatments that are experiential. In doing so, I gained profound understanding of how trauma can impact us in ways that go beyond the surface-level symptoms and how implementing present-moment exercises, such as ones that incorporate the imagination and body, helps move clients in lasting ways. With this new understanding, I have been able to integrate more tools to supplement talk-therapy and help my clients shifts patterns on a deeper level.

I have roots in many theories, leaning mostly on ones that are attachment-focused, somatic, trauma-informed, insight-oriented, and experiential. Some of these include:

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

  • Coherence Therapy

  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

  • Parts work

The common goals of all these approaches are to improve and increase:

  • self-awareness and insight into unconscious thoughts and feelings

  • regulation of bodily sensations and emotions

  • capacity to experience and express a full range of emotions

  • capacity for empathy and compassion towards yourself and others

  • self-esteem and self-worth

  • sense of inner peace and well-being

  • deeper connection with yourself and others.
